Sometimes I Play Guitar

by The Merry Jaynz

/

about

This one was born in Tennessee, although it was over 10 years ago. It got worked up by an earlier really awesome but short-lived band I was in, then
went dormant until exploding volcano-like into these Flying Fall sessions.

lyrics

Sometimes I play guitar just for
my own head, but it won’t be
very long until I write a song just
for you. May the words come
from the blue just like you came
from the blue. May the melody
ring true like the love flying out of
you. Sometime I go too far in my
own head, but it won’t be very
long till I’m back where I belong:
here with you. And I know a
state of grace comes to me
when I’m in your space. And I
know the human race waits for
me patiently, hey, hey, hey.
Sometimes I play guitar,
sometimes I play guitar.
